Review of Contempt (1963) by Tom V — 26 Apr 2010
I really, really don't get the praise showered upon this film. The middle of it consists of an excruciating, coma-inducing, thirty-minute scene in which the male and female lead lounge around an apartment whining.
This movie is everything I hate about Jean-Luc Godard in one convenient package.
