Review of Contagion (2011) by Ryonnel R — 23 Jun 2013
Perhaps the best direction is none at all and along those lines Contagion offers immeasurable brilliance, almost by default (bc there is nothing necessarily measurable). I enjoyed Contagion but much like a rollercoaster, a great deal of the excitement and anticipation was at the initial envelopment.
However, I see great value in this movie. Fishburne was brilliant and the "elect" cast offered respectable performances. I recommend this movie but I caution those interested in a fierce and unforgiving script about true terror.
This movie is kind and cautious and it provides a neat escape for those who like being momentarily concerned about how brittle human existence really is.
