I don't think I really appreciated this movie the first time I saw it, but having watched it again recently, I thoroughly enjoyed the juxtaposition of science and religion (though they aren't so mutually exclusive in real life) and how it ties to faith and the search for truth.
The Bill Clinton effects were pretty funny as well. Plot holes aside, this is a great down-to-earth sci-fi movie.
