Review of Contact (1997) by Chris F — 22 Feb 2015
Contact is a movie that I find myself revisiting time and again, more because of its philosophical and theoretical heft than anything else. Sagan wasn't afraid to tackle big ideas. In terms of the science fiction, It's what is unseen that works best here.
Don't expect something akin to Independence Day. This is a much more subtle, much more nuanced affair.
