Review of Contact (1997) by Brett B — 05 Aug 2009
A highly cerebral science fiction film from director Zemeckis. The story strives to be a realistic interpretation of what might happen if we made contact with an alien race, and it is mostly successful in that regard.
The cast is terrific, Alan Silvestri's score is lovely, and though it might be considered overlong, the film moves at a fairly fast pace. One of the better "thoughtful" sci-fi films of recent decades.
