Contact Movie Critic Review.

Todayâ??s entertainment business is huge, and sci-fi movies are taking over the shelves. The film, Contact (1997), by Robert Zemeckis is a really good movie for many reasons. For one thing, Contact, has space technology only one could dream of. Secondly, Contact, delivers a packing punch of religious views sure to hit home hard. The best part about the film is Jodie Foster's acting performance.

Now one thing, the movie injects powerful satellite technology. For example, there is a scene that shows endless rows, in a unique physics of huge satellites, sending and receiving radio waves into space. Contact, has space technology written all over it. During the movie, there are cheap, old, highly intelligent computers. The crew makes first contact; meanwhile the computers are generating arrays, and targeting the space frequencyâ??s location. The movie engages extraterrestrial technology and frequencies on a high scale. In another scene, the mother of all frequencies is captured on the computer. And the sound that was recorded is coming from Vega. However, Vega is supposed to be too far away to communicate. The sounds are decoded by computers and scientists. The unraveling of the codes became instructions to build a traveling space ball. The crew expands its members, and builds an extraterrestrial space ball. And the ball is supposed travel through space and stop at Vega.

Secondly, Contact delivers a packing punch of religious views. One religious view insinuates spiritual Life after death. For instance, in the movie Jodie foster travels through space, when she is in a worm hole, her spirit slowly pulls away from her face. Afterwards, her spirit snaps back into her body and then into complete silence. She is floating peacefully, down onto a heavenly looking beach. The beach is full of pine trees, the sky is full of shooting spirits, neon blue waters, and the galaxies are close enough to touch with her hands. In Contact there is a holy man by the name of Joseph. Joseph recites scriptures, and talks about walking with GOD-to the public. In one scene Joseph is leading a protest. The protest is for against scientists playing GOD. Joseph is only in a few scenes, however the scenes are religiously powerful. In another scene Joseph shows scientists that space isn't the only place for a Big Bang.

The best thing about the film is Jodie Foster's acting performance. She has a cleaver mind to show. For example, in the scene where she is no doubtfully in some sort of heaven, she says in a clever response instead, "these must have been thoughts, memories, and fears downloaded from my brain to the computer." Seriously that is smart thinking to say at a time when an event of extraterrestrial is happening. And Jodie Foster is very serious throughout the movie. She offers herself to science study, regardless of the end result, including, possibilities of death. She has the look of curiosity on her face in scenes that have the â??what ifsâ?? or â??whysâ?? and â??hopelessness.â?? The endlessness possibilities while Jodie is in no fear mode. She speaks her beliefs to the public without fear. And, when she does speak about her beliefs she looks them in the eyes. She challenges the legal system in court because they tried to shut her down. She acts with no fear. For example, she talks loud, firm, direct, and with her hands. Is she mad? No, she is fearless! Another prime example from the movie is when she volunteers to travel through space in a time travel ball. She was non hesitant and excited to go into the ball of mystery. And while the ball is spinning under enormous amounts of pressure, and uncontrollable speeds, there is no telling if she will make it out ok. She is serious about her science, because she knows the risk factors. She brings to the cinema screen waves of emotion. Jodi Foster has a crying scene in the movie, and she cries with a painful face. The scene is so emotional it will make the eyes water so grab some tissue.

Heaven, and space, and technology! Oh my! Oh yeah, and Jodie Foster too! I recently seen contact, and I recommend to any fan buff of realistic sci-fi to watch this film. The film Contact is a really good sci-fi movie for many reasons.
