Review of Conspiracy Theory (1997) by Erno K — 18 Apr 2008

For some reason, I had never seen this movie, so I decided to catch it on tv. Meh, it was aight. Melvin "sugartits" Gibson's character was somewhat funny, although his schtick got a bit old towards the end.

I was just thinking the whole time how once, a long time ago, Roberts and Gibson were A-list actors who carried a movie by themselves. Times change and now there is a new generation in place. The huge cell phones were absolutely hilarious and they are always a great way to date a movie these days.

The story was also adequate, and it was weird to see Jean-Luc Picard himself as the villain. All in all, a pretty generic, although entertaining, mid 1990's action thriller.
