Review of Conspiracy Theory (1997) by Monsieur R — 30 Aug 2010
Fantastic look at being paranoid..... but for good reason. Perhaps Gibson's finest role, he should have been nominated an Oscar for this outstanding portrayl of a victim of government experiments in mind control.
Reduced to driving a cab for a living, Gibson, or Jerry is his name in the movie, acts his heart out in this vision of a wacked out paranoid that sees conspiracies all around him... as well he might.. because he is the eye of the storm in this incredible and heart wrenching depiction of lives destroyed by a govenment gone wild.
Highly recommended for all, this 'crush' Gibson has on Roberts is real, but his past victimization by government experiments makes him act crazy.
His apartment is rigged for destruction in case his imagined foes get to him... only problem is that there are real foes out there... he just can't say who.
Give this one a watch... it is well worth your time to see Gibson in a Oscar role given by ME.
