Review of Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972) by Shane D — 30 Apr 2011

Pretty good installment in the Apes series. In fact, the third and fourth sequels are heavily underrated and entertaining. You can obviously look at the parallels in the films and the civil rights movements of the time.

There are some fantastically over the top acting performances throughout and the rubber masks have not improved, but there is something enjoyable in the "exploitation" vibe of these combinations.

If you are able to look past some of the extravagances and suspension of disbelief required then you will have shit-tons of fun with this.
