Review of Conquest of the Planet of the Apes (1972) by Zack B — 15 Aug 2010
Just ok, and really, this is when the Planet Of The Apes movies started to go downhill. The baby ape from the last movie grows up in a world where apes are the replacements for dogs and cats because they all died off apparently.
Soon, the apes become actual servants of man. The baby talking ape soon is renamed Caesar and doesn't like the way things are headed, so he organizes revolution! This thing turns too political and too talky, and seems to run out of things to say in the final 40 minutes or so, because it's all monkey vs human fighting.
A wee bit too boring, and a huge letdown from the previous entry. What, there's another one? (whines).
