Review of Congo (1972) by Bill B — 22 Jul 2011
Got terrible ratings but my wife and I love this film. The heroine is the most competent one in the bunch and saves the party's bacon, the sets are fantastic and the action is good. Ernie Hudson is fun as the "Great White Hunter", Laura Linney is great as the ex-CIA op turned telecom trouble-shooter, and Tim Curry chews the scenery with panache as Romanian treasure-hunter Herkermer Homolka.
