Before there was Andy Serkis, there was Amy the cyborgorilla. Yet surprisingly, the prosthetically enhanced primate is not the most absurd, unbelievable character-that's a toss up between all the rest: Ex-CIA computer scientist Laura Linney? Ernie Hudson doing a Cary Grant impression? Tim Curry playing a Romanian Tim Curry? It's like movie as a whole slipped on a banana peel.
