Review of Confidence (2003) by Hang O — 27 Jun 2007
My main beef with this movie is the interactions between Dustin Hoffman and Edward Burns' characters. Heres a supposed big wig in the crime world (Hoffman), someone who is known by many and feared but Burns just walks right in after stealing his money and talks shit to him and guess what? Nothing happens.
You see Hoffman lose his cool ONCE and do something, that's it. I realize his character is on medication but he lets someone who stole from him essentially walk all over him. Good performances otherwise but that flaw just pissed me off, not to mention the rushed feel of it.
Could have added another 20 minutes-half hour and it would have made this movie really shine.
