Review of Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen (2004) by Bob V — 20 Jul 2011
I saw this film for the first time right on the heels of the smash success of Mean Girls, and I remember thinking it was okay, sort of fun.
A second viewing highlighted the many flaws, however, & instead of amused I soon found myself annoyed. The absurd plot points, the hokey characters, and the relentless pushing of Lohan as a trple threat, almost went neyond my endurance.
Lohan's acting is somewhat the saving grace, and it's really a shame that her talent - which shone in Mean Girls, and which manages to make dreg like this slightly more appealing - has now been coked & flushed to Neverneverland.
