Review of Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) by Keith C — 09 Mar 2008

Is it true? Who cares! Is this one cool movie? Definitely! A surprise hit from the directorial debut of George Clooney. The script is edgy and based on the unofficial life-story of Chuck Barris, the creator and host of The Gong Show.

I really enjoyed all the wacky scenes w/ Chuck played perfectly by Sam Rockwell. The other performances are amazing, especially Julia Roberts who plays a character unlike any she has done before. The style is so crisp, cool and Clooney.

This film changed my opinion of the guy from ER. He actually has a brain. The cameos are sweet and not overdone.
