Review of Confessions of a Dangerous Mind (2002) by Richard H — 06 Jun 2010
Sam Rockwell is absolutely brilliant in this. I was thinking as I was watching it that it had left very strong Charlie Kaufman taste with the sort of uber-reality biopic style, like Adaptation and it's blurring the lines of what's real and what's not.
Then I found out he wrote it, of course. Clooney's debut directing too was brilliant. Wikipedia says he took influence from Coen brothers and Soderbergh and you can see that but it's nothing that stands out like a blatent copy.
