Review of Concussion (2015) by Tricia M — 10 Jan 2016
A solid film. Will Smith does a fine job portraying Dr. Omalu's perseverence and fragility. However, I think the script focuses too much on Dr. Omalu and reduces what is a very large story about many people (including in academia) working together to expose the link between CTE and concussions in the NFL into one man's story.
This works dramatically, but somehow takes away from the interesting details and tangents in this story that can be found in the excellent documentary.
