Movies, for the most part, are made up of essentially five things: story concept, scriptwriting, casting, filming, and editing. Concussion does a pretty great job in each of these aspects...except one.

And unfortunately that aspect was beyond awful. The terrible script, which is simplistic, pandering, and completely pleased with itself, overwhelms the great performances (Smith is in top form) and truly compelling subject matter.

An epic downer on every front.
