Review of Conan the Barbarian (1982) by Joseph S — 20 Jul 2009
The original stories are widely considered the definitive sword and sorcery adventures, and the movie does a fantastic job of bringing that to the big screen. The casting for all the characters is so perfect, and I would go so far to say that Schwarzenegger's accent is an advantage to the movie.
The fight scenes are brutal and well choreographed; the overall production design is impressive; and there's even some pretty damn poignant dialog. Totally a must-see for any action/fantasy fan.
