Review of Conan the Barbarian (1982) by Matthew C — 17 Jun 2011
A truly brilliant swords and sorcery epic, and one of Schwarzeneggers best films! Neither too campy nor serious, Conan nails just the right tone, and the film does a good job by captivating you with it's epic tale, grand sweeping scenery and it's brilliant performances, especially from the great James Earl Jones ("Now they will no why they fear the dark").
An appropriate film for all ages, as good as the new movie looks I truly cannot hold it to the same standard as this classic. If you haven't yet seen this classic film, do yourself a favor and go watch it NOW! (and avoid the sequel, Conan the Destroyer, at all cost).
