Lots of machismo and swordplay, the movie is made obviously for teen boys. There is adventure and action, but the movie is still a bit slow paced. It has a cool feeling to it and great music, and I liked the atmosphere.
Some of the stuff was a lot like violence on the expense of plot, and the script was fairly simple. The violence doesn't get overboard and lets face it, this is a barbarian movie after all. The film has sense of humour, but it was too long or had some too slow scenes for my liking.
One of Arnold's best films in any case. The acting is above average and the atmosphere works. Classic 80's action adventure. It has James Earl Jones, Darth Vader from The Return of the Jedi as Thulsa Doom!
