Review of Conan the Barbarian (1982) by Jon C — 23 Jun 2011
Its a good movie.
A nice, solid epic featuring our favorite Austrian as a sword-wielding warrior.
I like the music alot, the costumes, the props, the plot and a couple of the characters.
There were alot of dull moments in this film but things like James Earl Jones and the excessive violence really made up for it all.
It feels like a classic medieval tale of heartbreak, rising up, transforming, love, retribution and honor.
Just keep to this one and skip the below-average sequel.
