Review of Con Air (1997) by Conor O — 03 Jul 2010
This movie really is a standard action film, its enteraining but nothing special.
I think there are better choices than Nicholas Cage, he tries his best but there are other actors that are more suited to this type of role, I think John Malchovic is miscast as a bad guy, I think John Cuzack did well as the hero cop, and I thought Steve Bushemi was really well cast as the Physcotic child killer.
For a popcorn action film the effects wern't all that good, if they didn't concentrate too much on the weak script they should have at least focused most of their mobey on the effects.
All in all the premise and set-up of the film is really good but it dosn't fully deliver on what it is supposed to be, an action packed octane thrill ride but it still succeds on being a fun movie that will you don't have to watch but if you see it you wont be dissapointed.
