Review of Compliance (2012) by Brontë Y — 16 Nov 2012

A brilliant movie that shows how social engineering can make you go against your better judgement. A sickening look at societies trust in authority figures and what could happen when you ignore that tiny voice in your head saying this is wrong because you are too busy/stressed and you just want to do a good job.

This should be made mandatory viewing for all high school students, actually everyone should watch it! No matter how uncomfortable this movie makes you feel it's important to understand the ways that a person can get past your defenses and use specific phrases to get you to do things that you normally would question.

The most important thing to remember about this movie is that it is based on real events and has happened many times, scary but true! I hope this makes us ask a lot more questions!
