Review of Coming to America (1988) by Malcolm D — 09 Jun 2010
Coming to America is a classic example of Eddie Murphy in his prime, the story is predictable but the jokes are not. The first half is gut bustlingly funny and then the film focuses more on the developing love story but its never boring and jokes are still plentiful.
The best part in the film is when Samuel L Jackson reverses the role he played at the end of pulp fiction but with much the same attitude, overall a great comedy but there is a lot of swearing.
