Review of Collateral Damage (2002) by Bill S — 11 May 2015
He's this big, Neanderthal, white, albino...
Gordy Brewer is a fire fighter who can't save his family from a terrorist attack and his wife and child are lost. He goes on a personal vendetta to track the terrorists back to Colombia. The terrorist responsible for the group is known as "The Wolf" and impossible to get close to. He'll indirectly join a military sting and get his chance for revenge.
"You have been doing some homework.".
Andrew Davis, director of The Fugitive, Under Siege, Above the Law, A Perfect Murder, The Guardian, The Package, and Chain Reaction, delivers Collateral Damage. The storyline for this is fairly ridiculous and executed fairly clumsy, like a bad Bad Bays 2. The acting is mediocre and the cast includes Arnold Schwarzenegger, John Turturro, John Leguizamo, Tyler Posey, Cliff Curtis, and Francesca Neri.
"Damn kids get on my damn nerves.".
I remember watching this when it first came out and thinking it was horrible. I was a bit surprised I hadn't written a review for this so I watched it again off Netflix. It was as bad as I remembered with some good gory kill scenes here and there. Overall, this is a below average action genre picture.
"You never ask why a peasant needs a gun?!?!?!".
Grade: C-.
