Review of Collateral (2004) by Adriano A — 06 Nov 2011
A common measuring stick I use for whether I'm into a film or not is that if everyone died in a car accident at that very moment, would I care? The irony about "Collateral" is that it dangles that possibility over my head throughout.
I did care about these characters. By the film's ending, I felt I knew these characters better than they knew themselves. Yet, the power struggle between them had me at the edge of my seat, much like Max, because I never really knew where their breaking point was.
