Collateral is an excellent Neo-Noir movie overall. As he did with past movies, Heat being the most notable one, director Michael Mann clearly displays his talents in this genre. I think the script was brilliantly written, and Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx both gave excellent performances that really brought it to life.
Since Foxx is one of my favourite actors, you can almost always count on a fantastic performance from him. Cruise is the same. Although I felt that the movie dragged in places, which kept it from being perfect, it is still a classic Neo-Noir movie that everyone should watch.
