Review of Cold Souls (2009) by Joseph S — 25 Jan 2010
The episode of the Simpsons where Bart sells his soul to Milhouse is more clever, funny, and profound. This is amusing at times in that there are some good gags, but it says nothing that has not been said before as mentioned above, or in Charlie Kaufman movies, which this is like a patch work version of.
Sophie Barthes had a dream about Woody Aleen, and based this movie on that(look it up if you dont beleive me). I hope the quality of her dreams improves, because there seems to be some talent buried beneath the cold glossy empty vessel that is this movie.
Watchable, but uninspired.
