This movie is adapted from the novel "Cold Mountain." It has the same setting with Gone with the Wind, love story during the civil war in the US. The difference is on the characters. Inman (Jude Law) and Ada Monroe (Nicole Kidman) are ordinary people, live in upper class society.

It is a story of Inman (jude Law) who wants to go home to Cold Mountain in order to unite with his beloved Ada Monroe (Nicole Kidman). On his way home, he has to face obstacles. When he reaches home, meets Ada, he dies.

It is a tragic love story. It is a sad movie. How could we image, Inman and Ada fell in love at the first sight. They are seperated by war. Inman had to go war and Ada left to cultivate the farm. Inman was in struggle to fight in order to go home.

Ada was waiting without even knowing whether Inman was alive and loving her. When they finally met, Inman was shot. Ada was left with Inman's daughter. How could she live life? She lived her life very well.

This isn't about how you live with someone you love. This isn't about how you spend the rest of your life with someone you love. The point is how you struggle in order to united with your loved one.

Have you tried it hard? have you sacrificed? When you have done enough, the ending isn't a matter.
