The chemistry between Kidman and Law is breathtaking but watching Zellweger as the rough, feisty and loudmouthed Ruby was a real treat. She makes Kidman look like a deer caught in headlights most of the time.
Also I wouldnt miss any masterpieces from Anthony Minghella who directed The English Patient and Talented Mr Ripley. He makes films in the most beautiful locations! It is a real pity that the gifted director had passed away.
Anyone who enjoys watching the Civil War period/epic romance movies, would treasure this one. I find this a well crafted film from start to finish.
