Review of Cold Mountain (2003) by Steven C — 12 Sep 2009

The storytelling is patchy in parts and can you blame it, this is a seriously epic film. I really enjoyed this film for its beautiful cinematography, actors clearly having fun playing a wide range of charecters, and most importantly that it is historically accurate.

its a bleak film about a desperate time. it may have its problems due to its scope but it succeeds in all the right places- capturing the beauty of the time period and in the aching romance.
