Review of Cold Mountain (2003) by Andy W — 19 May 2009
Nicely shot, with some well directed war scenes, this film's main problem is that it lacks passion and heart (which is more a fault of the novel from which this adapted). I never really bought the relationship between Law and Kidman (maybe because as actors I don't find them particularly interesting to watch).
But the film is peppered with an exceptional supporting cast, which more than makes up for its shortcomings.
