Review of Cold in July (2014) by Sylvester E — 18 Oct 2014
Cold In July changes gears mid movie so much it's rather impressive. It starts a thriller, gets to neo-noir and ends practically action movie. The jack of all trades is good at all, master of none; the movie suffers from its genre bending in the end.
The performances are all fantastic especially mr. Don Johnson, this is a satisfying thriller, seedy noir and suitable action finale. The twists are a plenty and pretty good too.
