Saw this on 2/4/15.
Cold in July is a sleeper thriller with twists that are not surprising, but that which turn the nature and course of the movie. It has fine performances from the whole cast, namely Michael C Haal, Sam Shepard and most of all Don Johnson. Vinessa Shaw was also worthy of praise. Lack of tension at times and the film's sleeper nature are troubling at times.
