I love a movie that takes the time to focus on character development and theme of self discovery. This movie does so wonderfully. Character actors in top form and writing that is honest and real. I particularly like the director, Alvarez, tackling of religion.
The movie is shot beautifully and pace is just right. Most movies take too long to get there and rush to end. Alvarez's first movie was one of my favs that year - Easier With Practice and this has parallel themes, but still unique to itself.
Can't wait for his next one.
