Review of Coffy (1973) by Uwe B — 20 Dec 2009
If I learned one important and valuable lesson from this movie; it's that if Pam Grier comes at you with a shotgun, get the hell out of there! In all serious though, this is a fun little blaxploitation film that features all the key elements to the genre, it's low-budget, gritty, and all about those in power getting their comeuppance from those they've kept down.
It also doesn't hurt that Grier is incredible sexy in her role as the vengeful Coffy.
