Review of Coffee and Cigarettes (1987) by John L — 28 Oct 2010
Dun be deterred by the very first vignette with roberto benigni. I flipped the bird and cussed silently after, but decided to give the next few stories a chance. persistence did pay off this time.
All eleven vignettes centre around.. you guessed it. people sitting around having their cuppas, conversation and cigs. (that's some life, ain't it.).
Three gems that stood out were Cousins (cate blanchett versus cate blanchett!) , Cousins? (alfred molina, steve coogan) and the spot with wu-tang clan and bill murray. the wu-tang clan boys were a hoot, not so bill murray.
