Review of Code Unknown (2000) by Jonathan H — 17 Aug 2007
Juliette Binoche anchors an ensemble drama of seemingly miniscule yet startlingly profound moments in the lives of people who find their journeys intersecting in many different ways, ways left entirely up to the viewer to discern.
Michael Haneke makes a very strong case for using film as a window onto ordinary lives, rather than sensationalized fiction. This is the film Crash wishes it could have been.
