A sci-fi romantic drama that works much better as a sci-fi than as a romantic drama. I love the futuristic world created in this movie, with its meshed languages and viruses to enhance character traits.
I could have seen a whole movie just exploring that. Instead, the movie chooses to focus on a less interesting story of forbidden love and, when the big twist is revealed, it's weirdly ignored for the rest of the movie.
Disappointing.
