Sci-Fi classic from Ron Howard about a trio of retired Floridians who stumble upon a pool full of odd shaped rocks, and discover that a dip in the pool will restore the youth they lost long ago. But with the newly discovered age restoring waters comes the harsh truth that as they start feeling better, they are starting to tear apart their families. Thrown into the mix is a quartet of intergalactic aliens on a rescue mission to save their people that they lost centuries ago, the cocoon shaped pods that they rest in are the very thing that is keeping the residents of the local nursing home young and healthy.

Cocoon boasts a great cast full of some of the screen's greatest actors including Wilford Brimley, and the always enigmatic and beautiful Jessica Tandy.

Perfect it is not, but the film succeeds in it's story of love, loss, and the rediscovery and discovery of emotions that were either never felt or hadn't been felt in a long while. If you want a feel-good 80's movie then you can't go wrong with Cocoon...
