Review of Coco Before Chanel (2009) by Izabel A — 19 Feb 2010

I must have missed the point .. this movie doesn't shed any light as to where her motivation came from. She didn't like being a seamstress, then she did hats as favors for friends .. then she had her boutique so she can stand on her own.

But why those clothes, why the style? She only wanted to survive and be with her lover? Maybe that's why this movie is called Before Chanel. It isn't about Chanel. It's about Coco's private life.

I would have preferred to know about both!
