Review of Coco Before Chanel (2009) by Daniel I — 02 Aug 2011
An impressive film about an impressive woman who was larger than life and opened doors for women in the fashion industry before Jean Paul Gaultier was in nappies. The film works well with great costumes, decent acting and strong direction.
Whether it is true to life I don't know but it seems that her extraordinary ground-breaking talent wasn't given enough credit in the film, or was that how it was back then in gay Paris?
