Review of Coco Before Chanel (2009) by Amanda G — 09 Dec 2017
Coco Chanel is my idol, and I was so excited to watch this. Everything in the beginning and middle of the movie was accurate to here life, but they left out A LOT of her life. They left out the war, Europe hating her, when she was locked up in a camp and was set free by Winston Churchill, America loving her, she had multiple loves (Boy Capel was her first love not her only love), etc.
They also left out many of the impacts she had. THEY DIDN'T EVEN SHOW HER DEATH! It is a good movie, but they left out so much. I would recommend it if you don't care that they left so much out, but if you're a die hard fan (like me) then it depends on if you are okay with it or not.
Again, it is very good and accurate, but a lot of the story is missing.
