Review of Cockneys vs Zombies (2012) by Marc C — 05 Jun 2013

[Spoilers included] I was not sure whether I was supposed to be thrilled, scared or to laugh but I found this movie lacking. Two groups of characters although neither generates enough interest to really care about them.

Try the oldies in the retirement home or the young punks who rob a bank at the beginning of the film. The zombies are the slow moving stupid type (a la George Romero) and to their credit our heroes actually know what zombies are and how to kill them.

Of course there is the token unlikeable character - who gets bitten, and turns. Hmm, formulae zombie stuff, although I did laugh when the oldies got hold of automatic weapons and proved quite adept at using them.

There was potential here I suppose but it didn't work well for me - so don't bother.
