Review of Cobra (1986) by Andy T — 30 Sep 2007
Pure cheese-ass homoerotic 80's action flick, delivered by one of the best dollar-for-dollar directors of the era, George P. Cosmatos (who also directed Tombstone). This film contains all the hallmark Stallonisms.
..from the terrible one liners, to the inevitable musical montages (of which there are 3, almost rivaling Rocky 4 which had a staggering 4)...and of course, another model turned pitiful actress co-starring along side him before exchanging nuptials with the man! Brian Thompson played "The Night Slasher" to very memorable effect.
So much so that I actually bought the same crazy looking knife (known as a Fury Sword) via mail order from the back of a Soldier of Fortune magazine shortly thereafter...retard that I am.
