I have to say "Pure Country" is my favorite country music-centered film, but this one's dang good too, and one of the better biographical movies. Sissy Spacek sang all the songs herself and deserved the Oscar she won.
It tells the true story of how Loretta Lynn became a mother at the age of 14, forgot the lyrics on stage one night, and on down the line to becoming friends with Patsy Cline and achieving superstardom.
Tommy Lee Jones does a great job as always also.
