One of the most uninteresting stories of stardom in music history. watch as loretta lynn drives around to different radio stations pedding her music and then she panics she gets too famous too fast. where is the alcohol? drugs? groupie sex? I guess ive been spoiled by dewey cox.
this isnt a horrible movie. its just not very interesting. BUT the music was amaaaaaazingly good. sissy spacek does a fantastic loretta lynn and beverly dangelo is a great patsy kline. and yeah, TLJ is cool too.
the acting makes up for the complete lack of enticement and conflict in the story. ooooooh, she stays faithful even when her husband is kind of a jerk. wow. meanwhile, patsy kline is clubbed with a morning star from her husband.
