If it weren't for Samuel L. Jackson's dedicated performance, this irritatingly preachy basketball movie would be completely unwatchable. It plays up to endless sports-movie conventions, utilising a story that essentially goes round in circles.
Coach Carter is a repetitive, predictable, so-called 'inspirational' movie that spoon feeds its audience, failing to bring anything we haven't seen twenty times before. However if you enjoyed the likes of Remember The Titans and The Blind Side then chances are you'll like this too.
