Review of Coach Carter (2005) by Dashara J — 03 Dec 2018
Coach Carter is a movie that was directed by Thomas Carter. This movie is based on a true story about something surprising that a basketball coach did. The main character in this movie is portrayed by Samuel L.
Jackson, he plays a man named Ken Carter. Ken Carter is a basketball coach who goes to his old high school where he once played on the basketball team himself and became the new head coach of the team.
He then sees how the new team is disrespectful and needs discipline. Soon after introducing himself he gives them contracts that demands they must keep at least a 2.3 grade point average or higher and must sit in front of all their classes.
This movie actually teaches that education should come before anything especially an extracurricular activity, and it shows that winning isnâ(TM)t everything if the only place your winning and doing well is on the court.
